Join us for an excellent CouchDB tutorial from Boaz Sender. CouchDB is a fast, schema-less database that stores data in JavaScript objects, exposes a restful HTTP interface, and uses JavaScript as the query language.

More about CouchDB: http://couchdb.apache...

Boaz will demonstrate how to:
Install and set-up CouchDB on your local server
Query the Couch database from the client
Write a small application to persist data across multiple users with no server-side code

Our September JavaScript Meetup will be held on Thursday, September 2nd at Microsoft Research Center located at One Memorial Drive in Cambridge. We are confirmed by Microsoft for the 1st floor conference room. There is also parking available at a cheap evening rate in the building. Parking is also free on the street in front of the building at 6 PM.

After the presentation | demonstration, we will go around the room introducing ourselves and asking the group for advice | opinions on any JavaScript-related issues members are facing.

Microsoft will provide pizza again. What a generous organization!

Please RSVP and bring guests.
