Boston JS

#66 – April 7th, 2016 @ 7:00 pmvar a_team = [Ari, Aria, Aaron];Bocoup - 201 South St, Boston MA

Accompany us as an amazing array of advocates advise and astound about application accoutrement at our April assembly! As always, your attendance is appreciated amongst an audience of all attributes!

In typical BostonJS fashion, we're taking things a bit too literally and brought you the best A's we can think of, including "A" quality work and Alliteration for our attendees!

We're also quite eager, you know, to share an amazing April sponsor: Eager.io!

Redux is a lightweight, functional JS state manager. It has the one-way data flow and React-readiness of Flux, with a dash of functional funk inspired by Elm. While it's mainly used with React, it is framework-agnostic and works with any view library. Its global store and one-way write logic makes for lucid code and quick debugging.  My talk will cover Redux's internals and API, its read/write patterns, how to integrate it with a React project, and how to unit test Redux code effectively.

We work hard to make sure that people can interact with the software we make, but all too often we forget that words on the page are what really matter. If they can't be understood or make poor impressions, our work is for nothing.

JavaScript is a very expressive language. See how it can express the whole range of human emotion - from exasperation and despair, to altruism and joy. Hear about success and failure from the greats. Feel free to pin any of these to your mirror :)
